Last Hoo Rah!

So today me, Melissa, Audrey, Jen, and Jaime got together at our favorite mom spot Barro's. It's a fabulous pizzeria and has the best little kiddie area..it really makes you feel like your kids aren't there! It has a nice play area and a huge flat screen tv that is always playing some movie...makes for good times for everyone. The kids love the pizza (Elodie didn't dissapoint and was able to take down almost 3 pieces of pizza), we love the pizza, and it's so fun to sit around and chat.

We figured this would be the last time we could all get together for lunch since I go in to the hospital on Wednesday and Melissa is just around the corner! I'm seriously surprised she hasn't already had her baby..the girl is already dialated to a 4 and isn't due until March 24th!! Crazy!

I love these girls..we always have so much fun together and it's so nice that our kids love being together too! I love to watch our families grow! Such a great way to start a weekend! Next time we get together it will be plus 2 babies!! Moment of silence please!

Thanks Grama and PaPa!

A few weekends ago, Christopher's parents were in town for a viait. We all met up at Ikea to do some shopping (that's when we bought the dresser for Addysen). Love Ikea...If I had a house that was being built custom I would totally have a hay day in that place!! But since I don't, it's still a great place to store ideas and get furniture!

Anyway, while we were there Christopher and I were looking at tables and chairs for Elodie. We have been wanting to get her a set for a while but there was always a reason not to get it....that days reason was Addysen's dresser...

After we walked away from it, Christopher's parents must have slipped it into their cart because when we all met up at our house later that evening they pulled it out as a surprise for Elodie! She was SO excited and kept telling them thank you thank you over and over again!

It was really cute and ever since, she has been playing non stop with it. The cutest is to see her bears or babies proped up on one of the seats. SO CUTE!

Thank you Grama and Papa...you definitely made Elodie's year with your surprise!

All set up in her room....

A picture I caught the day after the table and chairs had been put together....so cute!

Last few..

These are the few pictures off my photopass cd from day 2....Notice little Tinkerbell! SO CUTE! I would have paid the price of the cd for just these pictures!!

Back to Disneyland Day 2 Part 4

Toon Town!! Once we were well rested, we headed over to Toon Town....it's such a fun little area! So fun, we spent that evening in Toon Town and then went back the next morning. ENJOY!

I love the way Minnie was dressed for the holidays!! She was so cute!

At Donald's Boathouse...

And the whole reason you go to Toon Town....
MICKEY!

The castle at night was SO BEAUTIFUL!

This is how we all felt at the end of the day!!!

We interrupt Disneyland pictures to bring you this special announcement!

Another "to do" on my list was Easter dresses....It's only 3 weeks after I have the baby so I thought it would be nice to have them bought before, rather than waiting till after. Plus, the longer you wait, the less you have to choose from. Especially when it comes to girl dresses.

I of course wanted the girls to match (naturally). Christopher thought it was silly but then again, he's a man, and most things we women do men find silly. So, I set off on a mission to find matching dresses. This was hard considering Elodie is 3 and the new baby is well, a newborn! Thankfully, my persistence paid off and I found these little beauties at The Children's Place. I can already tell that I will be spending alot of holiday shopping in this store! Everything coordinates! It's fabulous! Most places coordinate, like the Gap, but not for newborn sizes. I guess they figure your crazy to dress your 3 week up in a Easter dress. And maybe they are right but I get so giddy thinking about how cute my girls are going to look in their matching dresses...and just wait till I add the bows!!

So here they are in all their glory! 2 sweet little matching Easter dresses for Elodie and Addysen....

More Disneyland: Day 2 Part 3

We got to see Belle, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty on stage and in a different section we waited in line and then got to visit with Cinderella, Mulan, and Snow White. Elodie didn't know who Mulan was but as soon as she saw Cinderella her eyes lit up! It was so cute. I could say I only got emotional because I was pregnant but that's just not the case and I'll openly admit it! I LOVED seeing her with the princesses and seriously our mouths were hurting, Chris and I were both smiling so much! It was a great moment!

All of these pictures came from my photopass cd...you can go on Disney's website and add borders and signatures..it's pretty fun and addicting! You'll see as I go further along!

After all the princess fuss it was definitely time for a nap! We went back to our hotel for a while and then headed over to Toon Town later in the evening...
I'll post those all later tonight..

No More Excuses!!!

So remember way back when, when we took that much anticipated trip to Disneyland and a certain someone thought it would be great to take almost 300 pictures while we were there? I barely remember!

I haven't really been putting off posting about Disneyland, I just never had time to sit and upload picture after picture after picture after...well, you get the idea!

And sadly, this task of blogging about Disneyland is on my list of "To Do's" before the baby gets here....and since I only have exactly one week until that happens, my butt is in gear! Plus, I recieved my Photopass cd this last week so it got me all back in the Disneyland mood!

So let's backtrack...if you haven't seen my first 2 entries about Disneyland, you can go read and look at pictures here and here....

Now that you are all caught up....Disneyland Day 2 Part 2...

We rode the Casey Jr. train...Elodie especially loved that we were in a cage...

The Teacups...Christopher was extra careful and kept our teacup from spinning out of control so I wouldn't throw up...later in the week, we went back to the teacups and Elodie and Chris rode the teacups without me. I stood by and got video and pictures of Christopher trying to get Elodie sick...she never did get sick and loved them!

After the teacups, we took this nice relaxing boat ride through Fantasyland....that was fun..

From there, we got Elodie's Mickey Ears..I was bummed I didn't get a picture of Elodie's name on the back so just imagine that part.

We rode "It's a Small Ride" Elodie loved this ride and I think we ended up on it about 4 times during the week! This is where she picked up the line "Please keep all hands and feet inside the gandola and WATCH YOUR KIDS!"

Then on to the Princess Fantasy Faire! Oh, this was a huge treat and we all loved it...other than the standing in line FOREVER to visit with 4 of the princesses part...it was the first shots we got of Elodie getting to see the Princesses up close and in person and I seriously got so emotional when she saw Cinderella! I don't know who enjoyed it more..me or her! It was one of those moments where all the saving and planning just pay off and you think to yourself THIS is why we did this! It was a great feeling and the funny thing was throughout the whole week I felt this way...even seeing the Princesses more than once! It's seriously what Disneyland is all about!

We got to watch this really cute program where some of the Princesses come out and teach all the girls to wave and curtsey...they also sang some songs and that was really fun too!

Okay, and now blogger is acting up so let me post this before it looses everything I just did and I seriously don't want to redo it!

Last One..

So today I had my last visit with my doctor before my scheduled c-section on March 5th. Crazy to think that at THIS TIME, a week from tomorrow, we will have another baby in our family! It's so surreal.
Everything looks great...I'm still wearing my pre-pregnant jeans, and yes, I can button them! My doctor gets a good laugh everytime he checks the baby's heartbeat....I guess he thinks it's funny that I'm still wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans! I'm proud!

We have to be at the hospital at 10:30am a week from tomorrow. My mom flies in a week from today. My check list is slowly but surely getting check marks. And Elodie and I spent some time at the bow store today picking out new ribbon to make bows for the baby. Elodie was super helpful and I'm really confident that she is going to be just fine with this transition. I already have a few matching outfits for Elodie and Addysen so it was fun matching ribbon...we could be in real trouble because I'm already addicted to making bows for Elodie....double the addiction now!

Nothing more to report about the baby....we will post everything on the blog once it happens so stay tuned!

Boys will be Boys...

Christopher loves to play ball....sports in general really. He played all through high school and any chance he gets to be on a church team, city league, or work team he jumps at it! Since we have been married there have only been a few times where he wasn't doing something sports related. So when he found out that his work was putting together a ball team and practicing once a week, he jumped at the chance to join in. Not only because he likes to play, but also because it would give him an opportunity to get to know some guys at work. Totally support that...

This past Thursday night was their first game...nothing too crazy during the first game..hit a home run for me and Elodie and they won.

Then the second game started. Christopher was playing center field. Next thing you know, Christopher forgets he is about to be 30, that there is NO money involved in winning this game, and DIVES for this ball that was hit in his direction!

AND, he didn't see the huge pile of rocks that lined the outside of the ballfield!
OUCH! Good news is he did live...no broken bones...nothing some neosporin and epsom salt won't fix. Bad news is he didn't catch the ball!

Hope this picture doesn't make you queezy!

Great game hun..we love being your cheerleaders!

The Best Friends EVER....

I never needed a confirmation that I have some seriously awesome friends...but if anyone else needed to know...I have the best friends EVER!!!

Today was suppose to be our monthly book club....we had all planned to meet at Audrey's house, eat, chat, and discuss the book we had read..atleast that was what I thought!

I got to Audrey's only to find a surprise baby shower for ME! I was totally shocked! I'm so bummed I don't have pictures to share but as soon as I get them from Rachel (thanks so much for being the designated photographer!) I will post and give details of everything!

This short post is just to send a shout out to all my friends...to Audrey, Jen, and Melissa for putting this together for me. THANK YOU! I seriously love you guys so much! Sarah, I loved seeing you and my cake was AWESOME! And to all my friends that came..it was so nice to see you all and the gifts were just so sweet! I feel like I'm giving a speech after an award but seriously, you all made me feel so special and loved and I feel so blessed to have you all in my life!

I love you all!! THANK YOU!

Ready or not...

So after much denial that I really only have 2 weeks until this baby comes, we finally spent some time preparing for the new arrival! I don't consider myself much of a procrastinator but with this, for some reason, I am putting everything off!

We spent the weekend pulling clothes and blankets out and washing them...

stripping down and washing the carseat and stroller...

We even went out and bought a new dresser on Saturday. We got the same dresser that Elodie has. Eventually, I would like for the girls to have the same bedroom set, but for now, all we need is the dresser.

The funny thing about preparing for the new baby is it left me feeling overwhelmed, annoyed, and completely unprepared! Is that normal? You look at this pile of clothes and blankets and would never think that I wasn't atleast a little bit prepared! Isn't the whole perk of having 2 girls that you already have everything you need? I even went as far as to sit down and make a list of everything that needs to be done before the baby comes (right down to a grocery list) and that just made me feel more overwhelmed! So many things to do and very little check marks next to those many things!

What's wrong with me? Someone please tell me this is normal and I'm not totally losing it!
