POTD 2012: Week 31

-Lasagna in the crockpot- Recipe {HERE}
-Addysen needs a nap every day still. If she doesn't get one, this is what she does! -That's the floor if you couldn't tell.
-Craft Day!
-Tumbling Day! I braided all the girls hair after we went swimming.
-EK getting in to everything!
-Blue Eyed Baby
-3rd grader.

POTD 2012 Week 28

-The girls love to play yahtzee and are surprisingly really good. They caught on quickly and we play the adult version with them. It's a great math tool for Elodie and Addysen knows which number is which. -I took this picture of Ginger and texted it to Chris with the caption "The definition of a house dog"- she is spoiled rotten. -We had an art day with paints one day. -The girls waiting for the ice cream truck...sadly he never came by. We heard his music but missed him. I drove the girls around the subdivision trying to find him but we had no luck...another day for sure. -Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A. -Checking more task off our list of to do's.... It's starting to feel more and more like home. -We got a ton of rain today. We had promised the girls we would take them swimming but because of the rain we couldn't go. Playing in the rain was just as fun. We had the girls showered and in their pj's at 4pm. My idea of a great Saturday afternoon!

POTD Week 27

-I hadn't finished the girls 4th of July skirts so they wore years past 4th of July dresses to church. It was fun to pull them out. Elodie is wearing last years dress and Addysen and EK are wearing dresses from when Elodie was 4 and Addysen was 4 months.
-Elodie and Chris finished the first Harry Potter book. We let her stay up late to watch the first movie with us after the little girls were in bed. I was surprised at how much detail she remembered. She commented every time something didn't match up with how it was described in the book.
-I don't have a mantle anymore so I'm still not sure where to put my banners. But I still found a great spot for some holiday decorations.
-Dessert for FHE.
-4th of July fun.
-EK's new trick.
 -Date night equals mac and cheese night for the girls.

POTD 2012 Week 26

-Watching Karate Kid with Dad.
-We started painting our kitchen/dining/family room.
-We had a water balloon fight and root beer floats FHE with friends.
-Night 2 of painting our kitchen/dining/family room.
-Painting complete-On to the next project.
-Took the girls to see Brave with Grama and Papa. We left Evyn with Melissa.
-Playdate with Graycie.

POTD 2012 Week 25

-Father's Day 2012

-I got the fabric for the girls 4th of July skirts. {Squeel}
-Dance Party at our house.
-EK's pucker before bed. Love it! Any time you say "ready to go night night?" she immediately puckers!

POTD Week 20

-Mother's Day 2012 -The Gilbert Temple. -The girls got a hold of Grama's hose. -Fun at the splash pad. -Morning entertainment. -Costco Favorite. -We started reading the first Harry Potter book with Elodie.

POTD 2012 Week 14

-General Conference Cinnamon Rolls. -Glow in the dark egg hunt for FHE. -Addysen and our neighbor Bonnie. Great lady and she and Addysen had a fun little relationship! -Evyn thinks the easiest way to get from her bum to her stomach is by doing the splits. -Last trip to our favorite part of living in Texas. The library. -Giving Hugs. -Elodie's Last Day of School.

POTD 2012 Week 11

-St Patrick's Day Outfits. Love.
-First Easter Craft.
-First Wildflowers.
-First Sunhat. This one is a handmedown worn by all 3 girls now.
-Our girls spend every afternoon on their bikes and scooters.
-Our little good luck charm.

POTD 2012 Week 10

-Evyn Kate before church drinking her morning milk. I'm still not use to her taking a bottle and it looks so cute to me! I sent this picture to Chris during his morning meetings at church.
-Christopher decided to run 34 miles in celebration of his 34th birthday. He rocked it!
-Addysen in her new outfit she got for her birthday. A new skirt and leggings=a very happy girl!
-Addysen's birthday banner, balloons, and presents.
-Birthday Ice Cream
-A birthday box from MawMaw and PawPaw
-Christopher playing the piano at church.

POTD 2012 Week 9

-Christopher started the task of taking all of our home movies and turning them into dvd's. We bought our video camera back when Chris and I were first married and we have a ton of video from that first year! It's crazy to see us in "newlywedness". And then to watch as we slowly added 1, 2, and 3 children. CRAZY! And I'm so happy we pull our video camera out so often! And now the girls can watch them as often as they like!
-Elodie deep in research for a report on panda bears: She is taking it very seriously!
-Sensory overload
-We made a paper chain so Addysen could count down the days until her birthday. She said to me the other day: "Mom, let's move my birthday to tomorrow!"
-My mantle for St. Patrick's Day.
-Friday Night Sundae's - We love the hot fudge sundae's from sonic
-Saturday morning pancakes.

POTD 2012 Week 8

-Evyn Kate fell asleep during the last hour of church. She has never done this.
-Evyn Kate loves green smoothies as much as we do. We usually do them for Sunday dinner. Mostly because I usually do a big lunch and we don't eat until 2 or 2:30pm. To make another big dinner would mean I'd have to be back in the kitchen around 4:30pm and that is no fun. Smoothes are just easier.
-We celebrated Mardi Gras with a king cake for FHE.
-Elodie made the A honor roll at school and came home with a frisbee.
-A love note to Dad from Addysen.
-Evyn Kate soaking up all the attention.
-Christopher has his weekly meeting with the missionaries on Saturday morning. We decided to go with him. We stopped and got breakfast and the girls brought their frisbee and soccer ball with them. We hung out in the gym. It was really fun and was a nice way to spend the morning. Especially since it was rainy and super cold outside.

-SuperBowl Sunday: the first one we have watched without friends in a very long time! Probably 6 years at least.

POTD 2012 Week 5

-The minnie mouse outfits ready to go to Arizona.
-Evyn Kate at the park.
-Cleaning out our garage. You would think we wouldn't need to do this since we just moved here about 9 months ago (!?!?) and got rid of a bunch of stuff when we moved. It's crazy how much we got rid of.
-Christopher watching sports in bed on his i-phone.
-Addysen modeling a valentine skirt I made.
-Heart Bouquet.
-Addysen helping me sort through all of my ribbon. It's out of hand.

POTD 2012 Week 4

-Chris hard at work.
-Elodie had a project due. Her class had read a story about a Snowman. The project was to make your own snowman with things around your house. We took styrofoam balls and covered them in white felt. Elodie wanted her snowman to have a tutu.
-Christopher competed in a 1/2 marathon. Details HERE.
-Evyn Kate turned 10 months on the 22nd.
-I made Valentine skirts for my cousin's twin girls.
-Me at the sewing machine. I have really developed a love for sewing.
- Addysen's new found obsession is washing the utensils. If I go into the kitchen to clean it up she is at my feet. Occasionally I have to go behind her but she really does a good job.

POTD 2012 Week 3

Picture of the Week:
We took the girls to the county fair today. It was perfect because it wasn't busy and there weren't very many rides. We chose to ride the carousel as a family and while Addysen was all for it on the ground, she quickly changed her mind once we got on! I'm pretty sure the carousel at Disneyland has scarred my children for life.

POTD 2012 Week 1

I'm determined to do better this year with documenting my picture of the day. Last year threw our family for a loop and while I still did really good at taking pictures every day I didn't document them as well as I wanted! Which leaves me with lots and lots of random pictures in my files.

This year my goal is post my pictures once a week like I was doing back in 2009 and 2010. Wish me luck!
