Christopher and his parents had a great trip to Utah to be with Kolton for his graduation and Temple Endowments.
They headed home from Utah around 9am and Christopher called at about 10:30 to let me know that he just dropped his parents off at his office (where they had left their car) and he would be home in about 30 minutes. We chatted about the drive home. They had made a stop at the Hoover Damn and in Las Vegas and Chris was ready to be home.
All of sudden Christopher yelled, I heard a bunch of shuffling, and then a loud crash. Immediately I started calling for Chris. A few seconds passed and then he got on the phone again and said "I've been in an accident, call 911!" He took a few ragged breaths and then started saying over and over again "I'm okay. I'm okay. Everything is okay."
It was all very frightening. Even writing it down doesn't seem to do it justice. It's bad enough to know that your husband has gotten in a wreck. It's ten times worse to be on the phone with him when it happened!
Christopher was getting ready to cross over an intersection when a car turned infront of him. Apparently the driver of the other vehicle was paying attention to a pedestrian crossing and as soon as the pedestrian crossed, he turned, right in front of Chris. It all could have been worse. And it all could have been prevented. The Pilot is totaled. Which is sad. But Christopher, although sore, is going to be okay!
I got off the phone with him and immediately said a prayer thanking our Heavenly Father for keeping Christopher safe.

Addysen's Preschool Graduation
This is just crazy! We survived our year of Joy School! I love the girls that I did this with and all the kids got along so well! It's great that most of us are in the same ward too!
I can't say I will do Joy School again. While I enjoyed the fact that it was practically free (with the exception of buying the lessons each semester) I don't think Addysen was as challenged and she could of been. Granted, those are things I can do with her at home and play to spend the summer working on, I thought a lot of the lessons were geared more to a younger age group...
Overall though, it was really fun and I know Addysen enjoyed it!
We had a great little graduation ceremony at Jolynn's house. The kids sang a bunch of songs they learned and we all had fun getting together!

Just because...
Some days I look at her and it hits me at how grown up she is and is getting. In those moments I feel the urgency to capture her...
Right. This. Minute.

Addysen's FIRST Dance Recital...
Man o man! I am trying so hard to get back in to the swing of blogging and it is so hard! Not sure where my motivation for daily journaling went but I need to find it ASAP! Atleast before all the pregnancy rumors start flying around!
Anyway...
Addysen Whitney and her little Bestie, Grayce, have been taking a dance class this for the last few months. They have both loved it and it's been a fun "in addition to" activity for the girls to do together.
{Elodie would have done dance as well but we had conflicts with an after school art class, activity days, and her daily piano practice (that she may or may not be slacking on and can't do anything else until she gets that into her daily schedule) However, after seeing Addysen's performance she really wants to take dance next year and I'm thinking we can squeeze it in}
Friday, May 3rd, was the girls dance recital. Addysen had been so excited for her recital and she totally rocked both routines! She was right in front and did all the moves with a smile on her face. To say she was in heaven is an understatement! The girl was born to be on stage!!
Grandma and Grandpa Yarn came for support and we all enjoyed being entertained!
