Yarns Do Disney 2014: Day 3

Our goal for our second day in Disneyland was to see Elsa and Anna from Frozen. We knew long before we were planning this trip that the wait to see Elsa and Anna was insanely long. Like atleast 2-5 hours long. Crazy!

Thankfully, my mother in law offered to wait in line for us for the first part of the wait time so we could take the girls to rides and to see Tinkerbell. We met back up with them after about an hour and a half, Chris took the girls and his parents to lunch, and I waited in the line for the next hour and a half. It wasn't completely awful. It did help to not have to wait in the line the whole time and I was happy to get it done early in our trip than wait to the end.

And it was totally worth it! As soon as we were in the room with Elsa and Anna it didn't matter how long we had waited up until that point.

Yarns Do Disney 2014: Day 2.

At this point we still had the girls believing that we were only in California for a quick trip to the beach. It's amazing they bought it all considering our first night we stayed right near the parks and you see all of the Disney advertisements all over the place! Elodie mentioned once or twice that she wished we were going to Disneyland and when she did we told her that maybe, if we had time, we could go through Downtown Disney before we headed home! She seemed happy with that.

When we got up I told the girls that I had brought Mickey and Minnie Mouse shirts for everyone for our trip to Downtown Disney. I thought for sure as soon as the girls saw the shirts they would get suspicious. And if Elodie did secretly hope, she never asked! At one point she even said "Mom, you came so prepared!" Little did she know.

We weren't really sure at what point we were going to spill the beans. Christopher wanted to drag it out so I let him be in charge of telling the girls.

When we got passed the security gates, we had the girls stand together for a picture. Christopher told the girls "Say, WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!" as I was taking the picture. They said it and we got no reaction. Then Chris had them say it again. Again, nothing. On the third time Chris said "Elodie, say we are going to Disneyland!…" and after she said it he told her to say it again. He must have had her say it 3 or 4 times before she finally caught on and said "REALLY!?! We are going to Disneyland?! It was so awesome! Elodie was crying, we were all hugging! It really was a great moment and totally worth the surprise! It got even better when we told them we were staying for 4 days!! Seriously just typing it all out makes me so happy and ready to plan our next trip!

We spent all day in Disneyland and had such a great day!! I could go in to details but will let the pictures speak for themselves!

Of all of the princesses we saw, Merida was my absolute favorite! Her accent was spot and she was awesome! We are still talking about her accent and how she asked the girls…"are you sisters?" in the thickest Irish accent! So awesome!
