Memorial Day 2012

 We had a really nice memorial day. We spent the morning in hopes that all the furniture stores would have amazing deals on their sectionals. They didn't. Christopher parent's added a patio to their house and we spent the rest of the afternoon outside.

Evyn Kate enjoyed her first taste of watermelon. When it got dark the girls enjoyed some red, white, and blue glow sticks. Do those things ever get old? I think not.

POTD 2012 Week 21

-Trying to keep EK happy during church.

-Addysen wore 2 different shoes to the park.

First and Last.

I'm excited it's the end of the school year. I got really excited while writing up our rough draft for our Summer 2012 list (which I will share tomorrow). But I'm sad to see another school year ending. This school year has been a bit of a blur for us. Living in Texas but not really living in Texas. Waiting on that opportunity to come home while trying to pretend like Texas was home for a while. It all feels like it didn't really happen. But it did happen. And despite all the displacement, it was a fun year. And if there is one thing I know for sure, it's that this girl didn't stop growing. Dang it. And she is so excited about summer!

POTD Week 20

-Mother's Day 2012 -The Gilbert Temple. -The girls got a hold of Grama's hose. -Fun at the splash pad. -Morning entertainment. -Costco Favorite. -We started reading the first Harry Potter book with Elodie.

Wordless Wednesday

{Don't worry. Addysen totally deserved it!}

13 months and church.

We have church at 1pm. Right smack dab during afternoon naps. Truthfully, when you have kids, no time is a great time for church. But 1pm is rough! And by 2:20pm when Sunday school starts EK is done. She hasn't been naughty or whiney, she just isn't content in any position.
5 months until nursery....

Mother's Day 2012 Details.

We have gotten together with our friends Mace and Melissa a few other times for Mother's Day so we kept the tradition alive and went over to their house after church let out.

Chris and Mace were in charge of dinner and decided on breakfast. We had waffles, crepes, sausage, bacon, and orange julius. The boys did great and everything was delicious.

The only pictures I got were some "in action" shots. Even those got me some disapproving glances so I put my camera down for the rest of the night.

We finished up by laying all the kids down and watching the season finale of Survivor. It was a great day.

And just for fun. Addysen filled out a questionair about me in Primary. Here are her answers.

My mom is 31 years old. (I'm shocked she got that right)
My mom weighs 21 pounds. (Not sure why this is even a question!)
My mom's favorite color is pink. (Naturally)
My mom's favorite food is spaghetti. (Possibly.)
My mom always says "Go to your room!" (Shocked face)
My mom's job is "she doesn't have a job" (If she only knew)
My mom laughs when I say something funny.
If my mom had time, she would love to bike ride with us. (On a cute pink cruiser that I DID NOT get for Mother's Day)

My mom really loves her dad. (I do.) I love my mom because she does nice things for me.

In April.

-We moved back to Arizona! A very smooth, uneventful drive.

-Started looking for a house to buy.

- Elodie learned to blow a bubble with gum.

-Found a house 3 days after we started looking. Made an offer. Offer was accepted. We are set to move in at the end of May. It went a lot faster than we expected! Except the moving in part...that is dragging out a bit.

-We started going to the ward where our new house will be. The girls have already made a few friends and we really like the ward.

-Spent Easter with great friends. The day after we moved home. A perfect homecoming present!

-Evyn Kate FINALLY decided to start crawling!

-We decided to put Elodie at the school in our neighborhood. It made the most sense long term. Even though it's still hard for me to let go of her old school. She is transitioning well and excited to be in school with all the kids in our ward.

-Evyn learned how to blow kisses.

-Addysen asked for a playdate with Graycie every day.

-My Father In Law hit our Pilot.

-I went to Book Club.

-Chris joined a gym and runs every morning.

-Addysen got croop. Crossing our fingers no one else gets it.

-I renewed our Costco Membership. A happy reunion indeed!
