Family Home Evening at ColdStone...


Last Day making lunches...I was counting down the days!


Day before school let out I volunteered in the classroom-the last time in Elodie's kindergarten class! I wish I would have gotten a picture of me but I didn't think about it until I was getting ready to leave.

First Day of Summer...


We took the girls to see Shrek...Addysen did great until the popcorn ran out!

Water Party

Sunday for lunch, the girls decided they wanted to have a "tea party". But since we don't drink tea and their cups were filled with water, we called it a water party. Complete with pb&j's and crackers.

Our Kindergarten Grad

Most people thinking Kindergarten Graduation and all the hoopla that goes with it is unnecessary. I say if it gives me an opportunity to buy her a new dress and do a photoshoot then it is most definitely necessary!!!

The 1st Day of Summer Look

Rosy cheeks, a sparkle in her eye, messy hair, hanging outside at 6:30pm....our summer is off to a great start!

We can check camping off our list!

I'm not really a camping kind of girl but it's fun once a year...to get it out of our system and let our girls get dirty! We usually save that once a year for our annual Big Dirty Family Reunion, but when our friends invited us along we didn't pass up on the chance. For the girls atleast! And it was just for one night. No.Big.Deal.

I love how Elodie is supervising in both of these pictures. Making sure the boys do it right! She cracks me up!

Addysen just wanted to throw rocks in! She had so much dirt caked under her fingernails. She couldn't grasp the concept of grabbing one rock at a time...she was throwing fistfulls in!

Packed up and ready to go. We laughed forever because we were packed up and ready to headed out by 8:30am! And we didn't rush at all!




The joys of camping include going to bed when the sun goes down and getting up with the sun!
That concludes my joys of camping list.
Other than the company and the creek!
Doesn't it just all make you want to go camping!?

Hello Little Cutie!

The new addition to my photography family. Courtesy of Mother's Day. I can't exactly fit my big girl in my purse (which weighs as much as a newborn) so this is a welcomed addition! There have been so many occasions in Wal-Mart or the park that I've wished I had sacrificed my body and brought along my big girl! My Picture A Day Challenge has just gone to the next level!


I was feeling pretty guilty about even wanting a little camera since I got my big girl for my birthday and there was to be No.More.Camera talk after that. I have been going back and forth for a while now. Christopher got tired of hearing me talk about it and talked me into it. He's more the "once you make a decision you do it" kind of guy. I'm the "I want it but could think of a million other things I could do with that money" (like save it) kind of girl. And honestly, the saleslady had me at "matching camera bag". I am excited to capture more of everyday with this camera. So much to Chris' "roll of the eye" this baby is going with me everywhere!


*This gift came in perfect timing with our weekend camping trip.
**Elodie is already bugging me to give her our previous point and shoot. The screen is broken and it's pretty much seen better days! We got that camera just 6 months after Elodie was born. Our first digital camera! Oh the memories in all it's 4.1 pixel glory!

Last Week Class/Homework

This is the last week of class and homework that I will be posting for Elodie's kindergarten year. Next week is the last week of school and while I know things will go as normal, she won't come home with near as much homework and it may be a little laid back in the classroom. This was also her last week for spelling words and phonogram testing. When she starts 1st grade she will have 30 spelling words and 20 phonograms. I'm not looking forward to that homework but like with all things, we will adjust.

I'm so glad I kept up with posting her weekly school work. Not only did it eliminate the clutter of paperwork, I love that it in one spot and well documented. I'm not sure I will post quite as much for 1st grade but we shall see. The summer break might rejuvenate my efforts!
