The Grape Thief

Anyone who knows my girls knows that they love fruit. At a really early age we learned with Elodie that if you put fruit and anything else on her plate she wouldn't only eat the fruit.

It appears that Addysen will be the same way. Any fruit will do but she especially loves bananas and grapes.

These pictures are from last week. I had bought a bag of grapes on Tuesday. This is what the bowl looked like Wednesday morning. Between Elodie and Addysen I can't keep up.

On Saturday I went back to the store for more fruit and came home with a canteloupe. The girls ate half of it on Saturday evening and polished off the rest of it on Sunday morning for breakfast. At one point I came into the kitchen to find Elodie hovering over the canteloupe bowl eating out of it. She had polished off the fruit on her plate, left the rest of her breakfast on her plate, and was finishing off what was left in the bowl. Christopher and I didn't get any of it.

There definitely isn't anything wrong with this.... Other than I can't keep fruit in the house long enough!

I love these pictures of Addysen. My little chimpmuck storing grapes in her cheeks. She is happiest when she is snacking on grapes.
Excuse the bedhead. Addysen was enjoying her midmorning snack before her morning nap.

Night in the Park

These should have been posted way back on the 12th of July.....atleast it's still July. I have mentioned before Christopher and a few of his family members creating a band to perform at the Pioneer Park in Snowflake. Every Thursday night the town host this Night in the Park with a different band to perform each week. Chris, his dad, his Uncle Ben, and his 3 cousins Erin, Taylor, and Lauren made up their band. They practiced for weeks and weeks and really did a great job. .

For as long as I have know Chris and his family, his dad Marshall has always been in a band. He is really musically talented and it's definitely genetic. Chris' Grandpa Yarn was really musical and it just got passed down from there.

We enjoyed the cooler weather, the girls had fun playing with their cousins in the park, and it was a great way to spend the evening. Even if both girls were up at 5am the next morning and we were home before 10am!

Besides the pictures I took of our niece Aubrey, this is my favorite from the night. Addysen and her cousin Anistyn. Anistyn is 1 year older than Addysen. Say their names together 10 times fast..it's definitely a tongue twister!

The baby cousins Addysen, Anistyn, and Jacee

The big kid cousins minus Kolton and Aubrey. Shealynn, Treven, Brenner, Elodie, and Bridger

Addysen's stink bug pose. She thinks it's so funny.

Grama Yarn and Anistyn

Sisters Aubrey and Anistyn

Christopher and Erin

Chris' dad Marshall- he is a natural on stage.

*I have a video of Christopher playing but I think it's too big to download. I'll try again later and hopefully it will work!*

Meet Blanket

Addysen's favorite for naps and bedtime. If she is tired and ready for bed all you have to do is pull out the blanket and she falls where ever she is and puts her thumb in her mouth. Elodie was never attatched to anything- binkie, blanket, thumb..nothing so this has been a fun treat to see Addysen with this blanket!

Family Pictures 2009

Before we even made our hotel reservations in San Diego I emailed my friend Gretchen about having our pictures taken on the beach. Gretchen use to live in my ward and is an amazing photographer. I also use to visiting teach her...I wanted her to take our family pictures before she and her family moved back to San Diego but we never got our schedules to coordinate. It couldn't have worked out better that now she lives in San Diego and we were able to meet up with her the night before we left town. We've never had family pictures taken on the beach and I'm so glad we were all able to work it into our schedule. If you are ever in San Diego and want your family pictures done, she is the girl to go to! Thanks Gretchen! Your amazing!

These pictures are in no particular order but I do think the first will be the big 11x13.....

I love this little picture of Addysen even though she isn't smiling. A dog had just walked by and she was frantically saying "DOG!" "DOG!" over and over again! I love how her litle lips are shaped and the sand on her eyebrows and in her bow. Something we didn't think about when we thought how nice pictures on the beach would be!

What the world needs now...

More lazy swimming days with friends.....

And all day happy hour at Sonic....

Bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils...

I loved school....So sending Elodie to kindergarten is REALLY exciting for me. And when we got her school supply list, a letter from her teacher, and the invitation to Meet the Teacher night in the mail today I was so excited! And while it's sad to see her growing up it's such an exciting time in her life! Makes me want to run out and buy her school supplies today!

Elodie was equally as giddy when I read the letter from her teacher too! I just know she is going to love school and I only hope that Chris and I can add to the excitement and make school a positive experience for her. It's going to be a great year for her!

Sea World Day 2

We got up bright and early Monday morning and headed straight over to Sea World. One of the best parts about our hotel was it was an extended stay hotel and had a full kitchen and fridge in our room. We were able to buy a bunch of groceries and eat breakfast and lunch from "home". It definitely saved us some money and I don't know about the rest of you, but after day one, I'm so tired of eating out. It was nice to eat a pb&j at Sea World instead of a heavy cheeseburger.

Anyway, we were also happy we bought our tickets in advanced because while there was a long line waiting for tickets, we breezed right in. The other awesome thing about our tickets was Sea World was running a promotion. If you bought an adult ticket at regular price you got a fun pass that is good for the rest of the year! So we did that and I was planning our next trip for October before we even made it inside the park! Christopher loves that about me. Always planning the next trip before the first one is even over!

We spent the entire day in Sea World. Addysen missed both of her naps but was AMAZING the entire time. I'm so glad we decided to go Sea World because I think Addysen had just as much fun as Elodie did. She loved all the shows and loved looking at all the animals! We had a great day.

Waiting for Shamu to start..when it finally started, Elodie kept leaning over and hugging me saying "Thank You Mom! Thank You!"
After a few shows, we let the girls get their wiggles out at the Sesame Street playhouse. This was a huge hit for both girls because there was a playhouse for Elodie's age and one for Addysen's age.

After the playland we went to see the dolphins....
And played with the starfish....And this is about how we all felt after day one....tired and ready for bed.

Didn't escape it....

You know that icky bug both girls had last weekend...the one I was praying I didn't get. Yeah. Well, I got it. Last night around 6pm I started to feel really sick to my stomach. Around 9pm I threw up....and then again around midnight.

UGH!

Let's pray this time that it really is just a 24 hour thing....that means I have 3 more hours of blah before I start to feel better......

Totally Unfair....

I NEVER looked this cute when I was 12. This is our niece Aubrey. We went up to Snowflake on Thursday for the big Night in the Park with the Yarn band. While we were hanging out at the park waiting for it to start I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of Aubrey. She is just beautiful! Still totally unfair though!

The day she decided to take her floaties off....
