E&J

Would you believe me if I told you we took these pictures in the Target parking lot? Funny huh? The original plan was to take a few "christmasy pictures" around these ornaments at Target. THEN, we were going to meet back up on a different day at a different location for more detailed pictures. Turns out, the Target parking lot has quite a bit to offer in the variety department and we just kept finding fun places to take pictures! Who knew! Just goes to show you can find beauty anywhere!

My new favorite water cup! Totally worth the 5 bucks at the movie theater!

If you came to my house around bedtime this is what you would find me reading. I'm obsessed. In case all the camera talk and pictures of other people didn't give it away!

Elodie had the whole week off from school for Thanksgiving. We had her friend Madison over one day and the girls had the best time. It's one of the first times I enjoyed the playdate!! The girls used their imagination and spent the entire time playing. I never once hear "We're bored!" or "We want to watch tv!" Both are big no no's in my house when you have a friend over!

And even though it's cooler we still can't resist Sonic Happy Hour. A girl can only go so long without an apple slush.

S Family

You may remember these guys from last year-how I heart this family, their parents, Uncles, you get the idea. Thanks Jennesa for letting me take your family pictures again! You are one of the sweetest people I know and you have the best in-laws ever! ;) I'm sure I didn't need to tell you that though!

Call me crazy but this is my favorite shot! I think it's safe to say we captured that "in the moment"/"enjoying our reality" to a tee!

POTD Challenge 11/15-11/21/2009

Sunday-

Monday-

Tuesday-

Wednesday-Lunch with sister

Thursday-Fun with markers

Friday-New Moon Premiere! Taken with my little point and shoot. I didn't take a lot of pictures that night because the screen on my little p&s is broken. It's annoying! I'm hoping Santa will find it in his heart to put a new one in my stocking but I'm not holding my breath-the word camera is a touchy subject in our house since I just got the camera of my dreams which is SUPPOSE to be my present for every holiday for the next 5 years!

Saturday- The Goodwill purchase! Which if you haven't read about you can here.

First sight of Christmas at our house...

I got this tree for Elodie last year after Christmas. Poor girl had to wait almost a full year before we could put it up!! I couldn't resist her pleas, even if they were days before Thanksgiving! She loves this tree and loves even more that it's in her room!

These dresses look even cuter in person!

I got the dresses!!! And they are so cute!!! After church, I took the girls pictures. Don't be surprised if one of these pictures is included in our Christmas card. On a sidenote: I couldn't have done it without Christopher, who stood in the way of the sun and made the girls smile right! He is so resistant but doesn't mind the outcome!

THESE!

Best 49 cents ever spent

I am on a mission. My good friend Jen found some great fixer upper chairs at Goodwill. She painted them a great teal color and now they sit around a table in her breakfast nook. I am on a mission to find my own chairs to paint bright colors and what else? Use for pictures.

So off I went. I expected to walk into Goodwill and find 3 perfect barrel chairs ready for me to paint! Didn't happen. I did find a great brown chair that was $15. I didn't buy it the day I saw it but thought about it the rest of the week and had decided by Saturday that I needed that chair.

On Saturday, Elodie and I headed back to Goodwill to get my chair. To my surprise the place was PACKED!!! I couldn't find a parking spot, couldn't find a cart, couldn't find my way through the crowd to get to my chair. Sadly, by the time I made it to where my chair was suppose to be, it was gone! BUMMER!! I did, however, find a great substitute that didn't need any painting and would work perfect for the pictures I had all built up in my head. (Which I will post about next)

Before Elodie and I got in line we passed the toy isle. If it can even be called an isle. More like a bunch of toys in a corner of the store. Elodie found a Barbie car for 99 cents and asked if she could get it. It needed some cleaning but for 99 cents, sure.

When we got in line the lady in front of me had a cart FULL of stuff!! I asked her what was going on and she told me that every other Saturday everything in the store is 50% off!!! WHAT??! Where have I been!?!

Very excited, I got to the register and found out that my new chair would be $8 and Elodie's Barbie car would be 49 cents!!! Very exciting!!!

When we got home, Elodie and Addysen spent the rest of the afternoon outside playing barbies and enjoying the outside weather! Which has been amazing!

Seriously, who knew 49 cents could buy a whole afternoon of entertainment!!
I'm still on my hunt for some chairs to paint so I will definitely be checking out Goodwill again!

Goodbye Sweet Friend..

I sold my little canon today. My heart is sad! I loved that camera! Every picture taken on this blog was taken with that camera! I learned to really really love photography with that camera! But it was time to say goodbye. I'm sorry I outgrew you! Goodbye sweet friend! You've gone to a good family!

Our Niece Aubrey

Chris' parents came to town over the weekend and brought with them our nephew Kolton and niece Aubrey. Of course Aubrey couldn't slip away without me catching a few shots of her. She is stunning! And self-conscious, and doesn't want her picture taken, and all those things you are when you are 12!
