We met up with our friends, the Hamblins, for a picnic at the park tonight for FHE...
Initially, Chris and I were going to get Subway for dinner and take Elodie and Addysen down to our subdivision park. I had stopped by Melissa's earlier in the day and it came up that that was what we had planned...she mentioned wanting to find a park where she could take the boys and feed ducks and I had the perfect spot in mind...FREESTONE PARK! It took us no time to make plans to meet up at the park when the guys got home...The weather was fabulous (a little cold actually), you can't beat $5 footlongs at Subway, and the kids had a fun time feeding the ducks! It was a great way to spend the evening!

Easter Dresses...
A few of my favorites from our little photo shoot yesterday. Addysen wasn't really in the mood but I couldn't keep putting it off..I still got a few cute ones of her, even though her eyes are closed in all of them!
ENJOY!

Straw bah-bah-bah-bah berry..
Strawberry Shortcake! So if you don't have a little girl you may not carry the theme song to Strawberry Shortcake in your head....sadly, this song HAUNTS me!!
Did this cake for my great friend Audrey, who's daughter had a Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party yesterday. It was so much fun!
Elodie had a great time at the party and is talking non-stop about the Strawberry Shortcake party she is going to have for her birthday...5 months from now!

Uh....Okay!
So yesterday I took Addysen to the pediatricians office for a weight check...well, I tried to take Addysen to the pediatricians office for a weight check! When we pulled into the parking lot I noticed a note on the door. When I got closer this is what I read...DUE TO A MEASELS OUTBREAK, THIS OFFICE IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED!!!
Uh...SCARY! I didn't even know that people still got the measels! And an outbreak!?! Sounds like something you would only hear in the movies! I don't think we need a weight check that bad! I'm staying clear for a while!

More Easter Fun...
We had a lot of fun on Easter Sunday. I can't say that church went all that smoothly..it was my first Sunday back and our meetings start at 8am!! I woke up at 6am thinking that would give me plenty of time to get everyone dressed, feed the baby, and to church on time...WRONG! It was a mad dash out the door and I HATE BEING LATE!! Anytime I'm rushed or running late I get in the worse mood! We made it to church while the meeting was just getting started so it could have been worse. And I guess I needed to give myself one trial run Sunday to see how it would all work out...sadly, there are alot of things I need to tweek...ALOT! Starting with me needing to wake up at the crack of dawn in order to feel the spirit before we leave for church!! I had to start somewhere I guess!
Because we have 8am church and we were running a tad bit behind schedule, there was no time for pictures of the girls in their matching dresses...it's on my list though! For her first time at church, Addysen did great...she slept the entire time! I'm not getting my hopes up but it definitely made up for the mad dash out the door!
We did Easter baskets when we got home from church...Elodie was so funny..we made her keep her eyes closed for the longest time...
This is what Addysen did while Elodie opened her Easter basket...
We invited the Hamblins over for dinner and an easter egg hunt. We decided to go against tradition and had steaks instead of ham. Christopher almost burnt them but they turned out great and we had a good time! We have been so blessed with great friends!
After dinner, Mace and Chris headed down to the park to hide eggs for the kids...they all had a great time hunting and didn't waste anytime digging into the candy!
Elodie sporting the Easter dress and Strawberry Shortcake shoes...I couldn't get her to wear her sandals that went with the dress...oh well...adds a little character!
Our bud Jacob..
An action shot...
Elodie, Jacob, and Isaac...
Last but not least...a shot of our Easter babies in their Easter dresses
Happy Easter everyone!

Easter Fun!
Our ward hosted a community Easter egg hunt this morning and it turned out so good! We had a huge turn out and the weather was excellent! Elodie had a great time helping daddy with his football toss, hunting Easter eggs, and meeting the Easter bunny. Addysen spent the whole time in her carseat snoozing away!
Ready to hunt Easter eggs...
On a mission..
Missing out on all the fun...
With the Easter bunny...
Checking out her eggs...
We hope everyone has a Happy Easter weekend!

Orange Pickin'
I meant to post this last week...this happened on the 10th of March so just pretend! Atleast I'm in the right month right?
The weekend after Addysen was born, Christopher's parents came to town.
Marshall had a business trip in Washington so he was flying out on Saturday and coming back on Tuesday. Because Snowflake is 3 hours away and Barbara was picking Marshall up from the airport, she asked if she could stay the few nights with us...Elodie was on cloud 9 having BOTH grandmas staying with her...she kept asking Grama Barbie why she wasn't going to snuggle in bed with her and MawMaw 'Licia..it was pretty cute! It also worked out nicely because Addysen and I both had doctors appointments on Monday, the 10th and because I wasn't allowed to drive, Barbara stayed with both babies in the morning so I could go to my appointment and then played with Elodie in the afternoon while my mom and I took Addysen to her appointment. It was so nice not having to tote both kids around town! Thanks to both Moms for all your help!
For a while now Christopher and I have been wanting to take Elodie orange picking...we have seen signs ALL OVER the place and thought it would be a fun family activity. There are orange, grapefruit, and lemon trees all over the valley! It didn't happen before Addysen so we thought it would be something fun to do with my mom in town. And with both Grandmas in town we thought it would be even more fun to do on Monday in between doctor's appointments.
What I didn't know about orange picking is that this time of year is the END of the season..the best time to pick oranges is in DECEMBER!?! Can you believe? So if your ever in the mood to pick oranges...go in December or January. There were still a ton to choose from and the fruit we got has been super good, but it was more about the experience, being wih the grandmas, and getting me and Addysen some fresh air! The orange orchard we went to was about 5 minutes away from my house so it was the perfect little outing for all of us! Nothing too overwhelming with a, at the time, 5 day old baby! We will definitely do this again..I know Elodie had a great time!
Perfect little orange...
With Grama Yarn...
With MawMaw...
Carrying our load back...
Me and Addysen...you should have seen me, toting a baby and a camera...something I'll have to get use to I'm sure!
