Chris's Grandma Brewer passed away on August 24,2013. She was 96 years old and lived an amazing life! When she passed away she and Grandpa Brewer had 32 grandchildren, 126 great grandchildren, and 94 great, great grandchildren! Amazing! I told Chris on the drive home that seeing what comes from having 8 children makes me want a really big family!
We decided to skip out on the Big Dirty this year. Mostly because we still haven't replaced the Pilot and we knew the Durango wouldn't make it up the mountain. As it was we rented a car just to go to the funeral. We just didnt have the money to pay for a rental and buy everything we needed to camp out for 4 days! We felt good about our decision but were super sad we didn't stay when a lot of our family was going out to the Big Dirty after the funeral. The girls were especially disappointed....
The funeral was very sweet. It's hard to be sad that Grandma has moved on when you think about all the family on the other side waiting for her! Grandpa Brewer especially!
I loved hearing about Grandma's life. She is such a sweet lady who loved everyone and was so willing to serve!

Back to School Dinner 2013!
We had our Back to School Dinner last night!! I absolutely love this idea and so happy we made this into a tradition.
Because the girls were starting school on 2 different days I decided to make things difficult and do 2 back to school dinners. One for Addysen and one for Elodie. The only difference between the two dinners is both girls got to pick what they wanted to eat. Addysen chose Panda Express and Elodie picked the same meal from last back to school. Tortellini. Which oddly enough, I hadn't made since last years Back to School dinner...
So these pictures are a combination of both nights instead of a post for each.

Addysen's First Day of Kindergarten
Addysen started kindergarten today! She has been so excited for this day!
We made the decision to put Addysen at a neighboring school that offered half day kindergarten. Addysen still naps often during the week and if she doesn't nap she will take a rest and relax on the couch. All day kindergarten was just too much for her right now.
The school Elodie goes to doesn't offer half day kindergarten so while it was sad to not put her at the same school as Elodie and alot of her friends at church, this was the best decision for now. She will go to Elodie's school starting in 1st grade.
The best part about being at this other school is she gets to be with her bestie Grayce! It's so fun to watch these girls grow up together!
Addysen had a great first day. She was so excited about being in the classroom and asked me to leave!
I love this age. I love everything she will learn this year and how much she will grow! It's hard to be sad watching her get older when everything is so exciting for her!
