New Year's Eve 2010

We enjoyed a very quiet New Year's Eve at home this year. In year's past we have had fun late nights with friends and quiet nights at home. Both are fun for different reasons.

We had thought about going up to Snowflake, spending New Year's Eve with Chris' parents and taking the girls sledding. However just a few days ago Chris' parents both got the flu and a huge snow storm came through the white mountains. Snow chains or 4 wheel drive were required and since we have neither, we stayed put.

Up until this year Arizona didn't allow for fireworks. They were legalized this year so we enjoyed going to the big tent in the wal-mart parking lot and picking out our fireworks. Nothing too crazy. Addysen doesn't like fireworks after going to Disneyland...she did warm up to the sparklers though.

We ordered pizza, each picked a treat at Wal-Mart, and came home with our fireworks.

We had the girls in bed by 9pm and Chris and I barely made it to midnight! We are so crazy!

Christmas Cards

The cards have slowly stopped coming in the mail...Boo. Like most of you, it's seriously one of the best parts of the holidays. I'll keep my cards up well into January and they just make me so happy. Happy that someone thought to send us a card. Happy that we have such great family and friends all over the states. Happy that other people are Happy. Just Happy.

So if you sent us a card this year...Thank you for making my day. If I sent you a card and you didn't send one to me...shame on you! Just kidding, but only a little!

And in case you didn't get our Christmas card this year here it is! Addysen was being a total grump and the only way we could get her to smile was through tickling..turned out to be one of our favorite pictures!

Gingerbread House 2010

Step 1: Dad is always in charge of the structure...'cause afterall, he is the Structural Engineer in our house.

Step 2: Then the girls take over. This was the first year Addysen was actually interested in something other than eating candy. It's not to say she didn't slip a piece or two in but she did help decorate, which is more than we can say about last year!

And perfection goes out the window!

Step 3: Sit back and enjoy the masterpiece.

90 days...

You can do anything for 90 days right? Does that include carrying a baby? I have 90 days exactly until this baby is born. Technically my due date is April 5th but if there is one perk to a c-section it's delivering your baby 10 days early. And I keep reminding my doctor every time that I go in.

90 days....

A lot still to be done.

2 MAJOR things include a bigger vehicle and a big girl bed for Addysen. Lots of BIG things.

Unless you consider picking a name a big thing. We have nothing. A few we like but nothing that says "THAT'S IT!" Or everything we like is too close to Elodie and Addysen.

Craziness!

And considering how quickly the last year has gone, 90 days seems like a piece of cake. Right?

P.S- Merry Christmas. We enjoyed a nice and quiet day at home with beautiful weather and Elodie on her bike all day.

Master of Engineering...

This will go down in the "Christopher's least favorite post" category. Along with this one. But when a girl is proud she really can't contain it!

Christopher graduated with his Masters in Structural Engineering from Arizona State University! We are so proud of him and are so happy that he is done! No more school! Hopefully...we don't really need a PHD!

We had the Engineering Luncheon earlier in the day...

Hooding Ceremony-

2 of Chris' closest buddies Mitchell and Brian. Every text on Chris' phone was for either me or these 2 guys! They were constantly comparing notes, grades, and homework assignments. This was the first time I got to meet them in person so that was fun!

And then I let someone else take a picture of us- more proof that I need to just throw my point and shoot in my camera bag! I'm bummed this one came out blurry!

And then on to graduation...

This was the moment the girls and Christopher made eye contact. We were so far away and it took forever for Elodie to find her dad! Hence the severe camera shake!

We all did our best to keep Addysen entertained and quiet....

And a few family pictures with the graduate! We are so proud!

Another year...

Today marks 9 years for me and Christopher. 14 years if you start way at the beginning when we started dating when I was 16.

And in true Chris and Lacey fashion, Christopher is taking his last final for his Masters Degree. He will graduate tomorrow! The best anniversary gift we could ask for!

I love you Chris.

{And a good angle of the baby bump-6 months and counting}

Heart Attack...

Over the weekend my blog disappeared. As in it was like it never existed! Scary stuff. Especially when you consider I've had this blog for 5 years and was nearing my 1000th post.

As you can tell I got it back...but not after a lot of tears and stress! Apparently, gmail detected a virus on my account that was trying to email out to all of my address book. Luckily, gmail prevented that from happening but not before notifying blogger that I may or may not be a real person. So blogger blocked my account until they could verify that I was in fact a real person and all is back to normal in my life. Whew! Just what you need to spice things up in your life...

As if:

-Being 6 months pregnant
-Chris in the thick of finals with a graduation date set for this Thursday
-Planning and following through with the Ward Christmas Party
-Interviews and lots of waiting for Christopher
-School programs and parties for Elodie
-Christmas Shopping
-Editing the last of my holiday photoshoots
-Amongst the normal daily routine

That apparently isn't enough!

If this whole ordeal did anything it's whip my butt into shape. I'm falling farther and farther behind and today is the day to get my blog out of the hole! So many things are falling behind me and I'll hate myself 6 months from now if I don't catch up! So stay tuned...lots more to come!

Happy Holidays everyone! Now go back up your blog!

Disneyland Day 4:Coming Home

Day 4 was our coming home day. Truthfully I wish we would have had one more day in the park. There were a few things we only got to do one time and we didn't even make it to Pooh's Corner. Seeing as we only go once every 3 years I think from now on it will be 4 days in the park. Just so we don't miss a thing or feel like we need to hurry. Although it may not have been as bad had we not gone during Thanksgiving. We did spend a lot of time waiting in lines!

We weren't in any hurry to get home so we went to IHOP for breakfast and made a trip to the beach.

Unfortunately it was a quick trip to the beach. The wind was blowing so hard and it was SO COLD! Nobody enjoyed themselves! We paid $8 for a parking pass only to stay 15minutes! It was just that cold. When we got back in the car everyone had earaches! A good memory but next time we will save the beach for the summer!

Goodbye Disneyland! See you in 3 years!

Disneyland Day 3

This was our last day in the parks. BOO!

Highlights from today:
-Going on the new Toy Story Ride in California Adventures. We waited 90 minutes to ride this one and it was so worth it! Very Cool!
-Taking the girls on the Nemo ride.
-Toon Town and meeting Mickey Mouse
-Meeting the Princesses
-Seeing the World of Colors Show-AMAZING!
-Last ride before we left: Teacups!
